Emergency First Aid At Work
6 hour classes
This six hour emergency first aid at work course aims to build a comprehensive understanding of the basics of first aid. The curriculum is ideally suited to those working in relatively low risk businesses, and is the perfect way to train a designated first aider to ensure that your working environment is as safe as possible. The aim of this course is to give attendees the confidence and know-how to identify and deal with incidents in which first aid skills are necessary.
3 hour classes
This course is designed to deal with the handling of persons in a workplace environment, and is specifically tailored to healthcare providers and professionals. The course provides information on how to minimise risks involved with lifting and handling, and also focuses on utilising handling aids and risk assessment techniques in order to minimise the risk of harm to both carers and patients.
Paediatric First Aid
2 day Classes
Our two-day or blended paediatric first aid course caters for emergency situations that can occur when looking after babies, young children and infants. The course is intended for those working with foundation age children, including: those who work in day nurseries, pre-schools, private nursery schools and play gyms; those who run before and after school clubs; and childminders, nannies and carers. Our course meets the OFSTED Early Years and Childcare Register requirements and will provide you with the skills to recognise and help with a range of illnesses or injuries whilst you wait for the emergency services to arrive.
3 hour Classes
Fire is one of the most devastating risks to any business or service, and could have a serious impact on the health and safety of everyone on the premises. Fire safety must be taken seriously and understanding its prevention and how to manage the risks is paramount. This 3 hour fire safety awareness course will help to ensure that employees are aware of all the key information regarding fire safety in their workplace.
3 Hour Classes
The safeguarding course is three hours long and meets the staff training requirements for Skills for Care. It is aimed at anyone who works with vulnerable children or adults in any setting. The course covers the responsibilities of organisations that have a duty of care for children or adults as well as the physical and emotional characteristics of safeguarding vulnerable people. This includes learning how to identify abuse and the procedures which need to be followed when abuse is suspected. This course can be adapted to suit the needs of individual organisations and those of the vulnerable children in their care.
Physical Intervention or Restraint and Breakaway
6 Hour Classes
If you work within the health care sector, this restraint and breakaway awareness course will provide you with extensive theoretical knowledge and the practical skills needed to safely restrain and calm your patients. By investing in this course, you will be taught by certified healthcare professionals who will instruct you how to apply non-physical intervention techniques that will minimise patient and staff health risks. You will also learn how to administer safe and effective restraint and breakaway techniques that will adhere to the national legislation regarding patient care. As such, this restraint and breakaway awareness course will help you deliver a professional duty of care to your patients at all times, and will also reduce your workplace liability.
