About the Course

The aim of this course is to give candidates a better understanding of the issues involved in working with individuals who struggle with drug and alcohol abuse. This training will give participants an understanding of what drugs are, what drug and alcohol abuse is, why substance abuse occurs and addiction develops, and how individuals who abuse these substances can be helped towards recovery.
